Terms of Service

By using Dark Meridian ("the site"), you agree to the following terms.

1. The service

The site provides a free browser text RPG together with related guides, codex and ranking information. There are no paid features.

2. Accounts

• You can create an account with Google Sign-In or an ID and password, and you are responsible for keeping it secure.
• You may not sell or transfer your account, or use someone else's account without permission.
• House names and character names containing profanity, hate speech, or impersonation of other people or of the operator may be renamed, or the account restricted.

3. Prohibited conduct

• Playing with macros, automation scripts or tampered requests
• Repeatedly exploiting a bug for gain instead of reporting it
• Putting excessive load on the server or trying to bypass its security
• Harassing or abusing other players

4. In-game currency and records

Gold, items, enhancement stones, titles and all other in-game currency and records only have meaning inside the game, have no cash value and may not be traded for money. Under the hardcore rules, a character's death can cost you its gear and progress - this is an intended part of the game.

5. Changes to the service

To keep the game fun and fair, we may adjust balance, add or change content, and end seasons and start new ones (including settling ladder records). Important changes are announced in the notices.

6. Restrictions

If prohibited conduct is confirmed, we may roll back the affected records or restrict the account without prior warning. If you disagree with a decision, please contact us on the official Discord.

7. Limitation of liability

The site is a free service run by an individual. It may be temporarily unavailable, or data may be lost, due to server failures or maintenance. We work to minimize this, but as a free service we cannot guarantee compensation for in-game losses.

8. Privacy

Personal information is handled according to the privacy policy.
