Privacy Policy

Dark Meridian ("the site") collects only the minimum information needed to run the game. This policy explains what we collect, why, how it is used, and how you can ask for it to be deleted.

1. Information we collect

• If you sign up with Google: your Google account identifier and email address, plus the refresh token issued by Google if you turn on auto-login.
• If you sign up with an ID and password: your ID, your password (stored only as a one-way hash that cannot be reversed), and a recovery email only if you choose to enter one.
• Game records: your house name (nickname), character names and game progress (gear, battle logs, rankings, death records, etc.), and your sign-up and last login times.
• Automatically generated information: your IP address for login rate limiting (kept briefly in server memory only), and server access logs for security and error tracking.

We do not collect real names, phone numbers, postal addresses or payment information. The site has no paid features.

2. How we use it

• Signing you in, identifying your account and saving your game progress
• Showing game records such as rankings, the graveyard and profiles
• Password resets (if you registered a recovery email)
• Preventing abuse such as brute-force logins and macros

3. Information that is public

As part of the game, character names, house names, classes, match records, equipped gear, titles and death records can be seen by anyone on the rankings, graveyard and profile pages. Email addresses and login details are never shown.

4. Cookies and browser storage

You can block cookies in your browser settings, but features that require signing in will then be unavailable.

5. Google ads and analytics

• The site shows ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. See how Google uses information from ads for details.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
• We use Google Analytics for visit statistics. We only look at aggregated, non-identifying data (pages visited, device type, etc.), and you can opt out with the opt-out browser add-on.

6. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for advertising, except where required by law. Sign-in uses Google Sign-In (OAuth), and ads and statistics use the Google services described above.

7. Retention and deletion

Account information is kept for as long as the account exists. If you request account deletion on the official Discord, we will verify that you own the account and delete your login information (email, Google account identifier, password hash and tokens). Game records linked to other players' battle logs, rankings or the graveyard may remain in a form that no longer identifies you, to keep the game consistent.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and passwords are stored only as hashes. A new session is issued on every successful login, and login attempts are rate limited.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under 14, and accounts found to belong to a child under 14 may be deleted.

10. Contact and changes

Send privacy questions to the official Discord. When this policy changes, we will announce it in the notices and update the effective date above.
